Hughes has used Red and blue to explain Plaths view of spiritedness and character from the day they got married and lived in their house.In the beginning of Red, it's defines Plaths favourite colour that seems to wrap her entire living and movement. He in fact liked her to be like an angel or guardian within the sky because the colour of blue . But Slyvia Plath chose to lose herself, addled her soul within the pit of red.Ted Hughes feels guilty and remorseful of her death although he might not be the whole explanation for her suicide. He uses poem to convey his feelings to the readers and to Slyvia Plath.
